Salwa will have an open rehearsal of her musical in development, Word Play, as part of New Victory's LabWorks in April 2025.

For her birthday, Salwa performed her solo show Make Happy at The Brick Aux Studio in Brooklyn.

 

Salwa is in Soho Rep's 24/25 Writer Director Lab. She is working with director Zahra Budhwani.

 

Salwa is a fellow in the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program at Juilliard.

Salwa is a 2050 Admin Fellow in the Artistic Department at New York Theatre Workshop.

Summer 2024

Salwa had a reading of her play Ender's Gay with Sanguine Theatre Company on August 18th. Zahra Budhwani directed.

​

Salwa took part in The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals as a playwright! She wrote a 10-minute play titled Never Forget That Jasper Cullen Was a Confederate Soldier.

Salwa is a 2024-2025 Playwrights' Center Core Apprentice!

March 2024

Salwa performed an excerpt of her solo show/birthday party Keep Happy at Trove's Slop Bucket evening of unfinished work!

​

Salwa's play Ender's Gay was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference, and a finalist for Fault Line Theatre's Irons in the Fire reading series.
